Comments:
Cyrix Corporation XpresssAudio16 Driver. This driver works for the Xpress Audio 16 (cx5500?) chipset found in Cyrix MediaGX based systems (specifically a Compaq 1230 laptop in my case). Installation When the hardware is detected by Win2K, point it to the MGXSB16.inf and select the "Creative Labs Soundblaster Plug and Play" Device from the list that appears. Reboot and you should be all set. Please note 1)The sndblst.dll and sndblst.sys files are very important and come from a Win2K-SP3 machine. Try it on other OS versions at your own risk or find your OS's versions of those files. 2)The driver was orignally specified for NT, so should work there as well. 3) It's unlikely that this will work with 9x/ME, but there are lots of drivers out there for that on Driver Guide.
